Intensive Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power In Ukraine's Capital

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were experienced blackouts and dealt with disruption to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a minor was fatally injured in a distinct aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, as reported by local officials.

Moscow has escalated strikes on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "real steps" from allies to exert influence on Russia.

"What is required is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in delivering defensive weapons and applying penalties," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and over thirty rockets struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and technical staff were laboring to fix the damage.

A series of attacks hit energy infrastructure and residential structures in the capital.

Multiple people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, according to municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A minor died and several individuals were hurt.

The attacks come after periods of aerial attacks in the territory, sections of which remain under the control of invading troops.

The whole nation is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to identify.

Government officials told the media that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the national power system, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed utility staff and government agencies were anticipating more assaults.
